Serious ducks for un-serious people

We make ducks you don't want to put in the bath — you want to put them on a shelf. Small ones in your pocket. Big ones in the foyer. All of them in frame.

02 Manifesto

Why Quacktory

The most banal bathroom object, turned into a piece of design, collecting, and architectural gesture. Four reasons it works.

Form

One silhouette, five scales

The same vector duck at 4 cm and at 3 metres. Proportions are engineered, not linearly scaled — the silhouette still reads as the same bird.

Material

Single-piece cast rubber

Food-grade silicone or natural rubber with EPDM additives. No plastic inserts, no metal inside, no glued seams. The whole duck is one pour.

Eyes

Painted, not stuck on

Pigment is applied after vulcanisation, by hand, with food-safe silicone dye. UV- and water-stable. No vinyl stickers on the body, ever.

Compliance

EN 71-3, REACH, GOST

Migration of chemicals tested. No phthalates, no bisphenol A. Every batch ships with a passport; every Architect ships with a certified-montazh crew.

04 Production

How we make them

Five production methods, one material logic, five quality checks per duck. The factory is small. The protocol is not.

Material

Cast, not assembled

Vulcanised rubber. The body is one mould, the eyes are painted after. No plastic inserts, no metal inside, no glued seams. Indoor only.

Tooling

A mould per scale

Steel for Micro, aluminium for Classic and Designer, fibreglass rotational moulds for Mega, CNC-foam master models for Architect. Each has its own cycle time.

QC

Five checks per duck

Visual, geometry, drop test, smell, weight within ±3%. Architect adds ultrasonic weld inspection and a photo protocol of the install.

Compliance

Age marks on the box

Micro 4 cm: 6+ with a separate choking-hazard sticker. Classic: 3+. Designer: 6+, collectable. Mega: not a toy. Architect: certified install only.

05 Segments

Where Quacktory works

Four audiences, four different entry points. The same duck, read four different ways.

Segment A

Impulse buyer

Instagram and TikTok native. Wants the viral, the meme-able, the gift under 500 ₽. Hates pretense and long copy.

Segment B

Parent

Child between 3 and 10. Cares about safety, durability, price. Distrusts anything that reads as "too fashionable" — assumes it is fragile.

Segment C

Design collector

Architect or designer, 25 to 50. Wants the limited run, the author credit, the back-story. Distrusts mass-market and anonymous goods.

Segment D · B2B

Brand & event

Hotels, agencies, wedding planners. Wants custom Pantone matched through-pigment, not paint over a stock duck. Quote on request.

06 B2B

Custom, by the menu

Custom doesn't mean "paint it your colour." It means picking from the twelve-colour Quacktory Pigment Menu — pigment goes into the mass before the pour, so it never chips.

  1. Scale

    Pick a line

Micro, Classic, Designer, Mega or Architect. Lead time and price depend on the line, not the colour.

  2. Colour

    Pick from the TPM

Twelve Pantone-equivalent brand pigments. The colour goes into the body, so it never chips, never fades at the edges, never peels.

  3. Quote

Get a fixed line in the quote

Three weeks for Micro and Classic, six for Designer and Mega, twelve for Architect. Predictable lead times for the procurement team.

  4. Off-menu

    Off-Pantone? New formula

Fully custom Pantones are a separate line — +2 weeks and +15%. New geometry is a separate project altogether, with its own master model.
