Line

Five lines. Same silhouette, scaled like architecture — not a uniform pupil shape, but one mould relief across every SKU.

Material

Single-piece vulcanised rubber. Food-grade silicone (Micro, Classic) or natural rubber with EPDM additives (Designer, Mega, Architect). No plastic inserts, no metal inside, no glued seams.

Eyes

Painted post-vulcanisation, hand-applied food-grade silicone dye — UV- and water-resistant. Black pupil, white sclera. Decoration depends on the run; never a sticker, never an insert.

QC · 5 checks

Visual · geometry ±2% · drop test 5× from 1 m · smell · gravimetry ±3%. Architect gets ultrasonic frame inspection and an on-site assembly protocol.

Compliance

EN 71-3 · REACH · no phthalates · no bisphenol A. −20 °C … +60 °C. Indoor only. Wash with warm water and mild soap. No abrasives, no alcohol, no bleach.

How we make a duck.

Material & eyes

Single-piece vulcanised rubber moulding. Eye decoration painted by hand with food-grade silicone dye, post-vulcanisation. No plastic, no inserts, no stickers.

Moulding per line

Micro: injection, 8 cavities, 45 s/cycle. Classic: compression, 3 min. Designer: hand-cast in silicone (≤300) or compression. Mega: rotational, 2 h + 8 h cooling. Architect: sculptural casting against a CNC-milled master, 2–4 weeks per duck.

QC & compliance

Five checks per duck. EN 71-3, REACH, no phthalates, no bisphenol A. Age marking on every pack: Micro 6+, Classic 3+, Designer 6+, Mega decorative, Architect installation only.

Care & temperature

Indoor only. −20 °C … +60 °C. Above +70 °C — deformation. Below −25 °C — embrittlement (especially Mega and Architect). Wash with warm water and mild soap.

Packaging

Recycled cardboard across every line. Designer ships with an embossed paper certificate. Architect ships in a wooden crate with climate control. Care card and a QR code in every box.

Lead time

Micro: today. Classic: 3 weeks. Designer: 6 weeks (design sign-off with the collab author). Mega: 6 weeks. Architect: 12 weeks including on-site survey and installation.

Twelve branded Pantone-equivalents — the Quacktory Pigment Menu. Pigment is mixed into the mass before moulding, not painted on the surface. Durable, predictable, contract-grade. Fully arbitrary colour is a separate conversation: new formula, +2 weeks, +15%.
