04 — THE PROCESS

HOW WE
MAKE A DUCK.

Solid casting. No plastic inserts, no metal inside, no glued seams. Food-grade silicone or natural rubber with EPDM — depending on the line.

3.1

MATERIAL AND EYES

Body — solid cast from vulcanized rubber. Eyes — pigment, not inserts. Eye shape and placement are an invariant across all SKUs. Decor (sparkle, heart) is only allowed when the chosen design register requires it. Pigment is applied by hand with a food-grade silicone dye — water- and UV-resistant.

3.2

TECHNOLOGY BY LINE

Micro — injection, 45 sec/cycle. Classic — compression, 3 min/cycle. Designer — hand molding in silicone flask, 1 cycle per day. Mega — rotational molding, 2 h + 8 h cooling. Architect — sculptural cast from a CNC polystyrene master model, 2–4 weeks per duck.

3.3

QUALITY CONTROL

Five checks: visual, geometry ±2%, drop test from 1 m (5 drops onto concrete), smell test (a sign of poor vulcanization), gravimetry ±3% of the reference. Architect — extended protocol: ultrasonic inspection of the frame welds, photo log of the installation.

3.4

COMPLIANCE AND CARE

GOST 25779-83, EN 71-3, REACH (free of phthalates and bisphenol A). Temperature range: −20 °C … +60 °C. Indoor only. Protection from direct UV and from oils/solvents. Care — warm water and mild soap. Do not use abrasives, alcohols, or bleach.
